All of our puppies have gone to very nice, loving, and
caring homes. Here are some pics of some very proud
new owners.
Brandy went to South Central
Pennsylvania to live with her
new family. She is very happy
with her new home.
Virginia welcomes their newest
addition and our little lady Isabella
sure has adapted to the lifestyle of a
Southern Belle. Her sweetness and
charm are a perfect match for her
new family!
Abe went to Alexandria
Pennsylvania to be a
companion and best friend
for his new owner. He was
so delighted to finally come
and pick up Abe and take
him home.
Sally went to live with Gary and Debbie
and their children from Presto, PA. They
are such a nice family. Sally is sure to
have a good home. She even has a new
brother named Linus to play with. Linus
is a cocker spaniel dog as well.

Gus has found a very happy home. Here is
what his new family has to say.......
Dear Cheryl,
We cannot thank you enough for Gus, for
letting him come into our lives; for
providing us with such a brilliant young
animal and for all the other really neat
things for which we owe you thanks...
You taught him his name perfectly;
thanks....Gus comes whenever we call for
Gus. He has grown so much; you would not
believe,,,at least a couple of pounds and a
good inch taller.
He has had only about three accidents and
most of them have been my fault; he has
taken to Kasper (our Grandson) like fish to
water....he loves all of all our neighbors!
They all love Gus.
We will take some pictures of our baby Gus
and send to you; most gracious and kind
thanks for Gus.
God Bless,
Honey and Dave
Dave and Honey just love Gus!

Mr. Bojangles sending well wishes
from his new home! Boy has he
gotten big, and has grown into a
handsome fella!
Cracker Jack looks right at home
with his new family! She looks so
sweet sitting with the children!
They just adore their new puppy!
Sweet Abby comfortable as can be
with her new family! She is so
sweet! She has definitely warmed
her way into their hearts!
Nittany became a part of our family on July 1, 2006. We have four
children who absolutely adore him. He knows everyone by their name.
Nittany loves to play, cuddle, and "speak" when asked. I think our
daughter who is 12 said it best when she said. "Mom, I've never
experienced happiness like this before!" Nittany makes us all happy.
The Bashaws, Bob, Megan, Cecilia, Colin, Nathan and Sara.
Emma is a Newfoundland hound who
just loves her new companion Amelia.
Aren't they sweet!
Joan writes: "My puppy is almost a
year old now. She has brought me so
much joy and a place to put my
energy. She has filled a void in my
life. She was so easy to potty train
and now becoming an obedient best
buddy."
Bonnie Blue at 4 months, happy
and content with her beautiful new
family in Pittsburgh, PA.
As you can see Anjil is getting so big it's hard to
believe she will be 6 months old in 13 days. She is
doing really well with the crate training. She rarely
has any accidents in the house now. She went for
her 3 month checkup and the vet says she is doing
wonderful. As always it was a blessing finding your
website on that day back in April. We still visit your
Web page weekly and it’s a joy to see all the
beautiful puppies.
Yours truly,
George and Sue Turner.
Larry and I were just saying that God sent Max to us. He is
so loving and we love him with all our heart. I promise you
he will always have the best care a puppy could have. He
is such a joy and a pleasure. He has been house broken
for about a month or better now. Everyone just loves his
big fuzzy feet and his sweet face. I just wanted to thank you
again for all you have done for me and my family. Take
Care.
Love from,
Larry, Erma & Max

CHERYL,
THE GIRLS ARE DOING GREAT! THEY HAVE ADOPTED TO OUR
HOME BEAUTIFULLY AND ARE THE HIT OF
THE NEIGHBORHOOD. I BARELY GOT ANYTHING DONE OVER
THE WEEKEND BECAUSE OF ALL THE COMPANY!!!
THEY ARE EATING REALLY WELL AND THEY WALK TO THE
DOOR TO GO OUTSIDE. WE HAVE ONLY HAD 2 ACCIDENTS SO
FAR AND NONE IN THE KENNELS. THE GIRLS REALLY LIKE TO
PLAY. THEY BOTH LOVE TO SNUGGLE ON STEVE'S LAP EVERY
NIGHT AND FALL A SLEEP ON HIM!
LOVE ALWAYS BARB
Sophie has discovered her cuddle
toy. She likes the bean bed and the chew toy. She has
peed outside 5 out of 6 times for the first day!
We are so glad to have her.
Sophie is now 5 months old and
doing very well. Here are two photos of her taken today.
We continue to enjoy her. I believe that her house
breaking is complete. She is still very playful as I try to train
her to come and sit and stay but she understands very
well. She just wants to have fun. She walks on the lead
very well and is the neighborhood favorite with people and
other dogs. We are delighted with her.
Love to all, Cliff and Mary

We celebrated Ruby Grace's first birthday in July and recently
celebrated her first year anniversary with us. She is a little
bundle of trouble I have to tell you. She's all about getting
attention. I can't tell you how many kleenex I've cleaned up.
She pulls them out of the little can next to my sofa and has a
tissue party. She loves to fetch. We have a tennis racket and
we hit the ball out back and she runs and runs for it, always
returning with that nub just a going. She's absolutely relentless
once we've started. We have to take the ball away and put it
up for her to stop. She has 3 favorite toys. She can recognize
them by name, go and get them, and bring them right back.
Ball, Baby and Squeak. She tilts her head every time you
speak to her - super intelligent !! She's still terrorizing the cat
and the cat is still putting her in her place. She loves to play.
We are so grateful to you for letting us have Ruby, she has
been exactly what we needed to keep focused this past year
with all the bad things happening. She was the one shining
light that kept us going. Bless You !
Take Care.

Dear Cheryl,
Wyatt is doing really well. He is ringing the bell
when it is time to go out. We call him the smartest
puppy in America. He really is a very smart, sweet
and well behaved puppy. We all just love and adore
him. Thank you again!
Love,
The Skovira Family.
Hi Cheryl, Ruthie is doing great. She had a vet appt. today
and she is almost 10lbs. Everyone loves her and
comments whenever we go places. She has brought such
joy to the family. She is a big hit everywhere we go.
Thanks Cheryl.

her to death and she has adapted well
to her new home.
John
Peanut still continues to bring joy to
our home. I have attached 2 family
pics of us and her new place to hang
when told she can't come and sit on
our laps (coffee table). It is pretty
funny, if she is "missing" we check
there. She is now 6.5 lbs & on the 26th
when she had her first check-up she
was 5.4 lbs. Dinene
George thinks that Jakey is just the smartest little
puppy! He listens and tilts his head whenever we
talk to him and if I say "Where's your Daddy?" --he
flies across the room and jumps on George's lap!
What a great way to wake up from a nap! He has
now figured out that he has a voice so he's quite a
"talker". Bailey has taught him to howl when he
wants something, growl at his brothers for
food/toys- he's quite a little talker! What a great
guy!! We sure love him! Susan

Dear Cheryl,
I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful dog. We got our puppy Sirie 17 years ago. He was so sweet and we
fell in love right away. He went to work with me every day and never complained. What a great dog he was. He loved
our whole family and welcomed everyone who came to visit. Sirie passed away last month and I can't even begin to
tell you, how painful it was to say good bye to a very dear friend. I miss him in the morning, when he would sit with me
while I drank my coffee. I miss him riding in my truck. Our whole family misses him.
You know, we never had a single problem with Sirie. What a great dog and what a great breeder. I can't tell you how
thankful we were for our puppy.
He really added a lot to our home. He grew up with our kids and never asked for the car keys, never ran around and
got drunk, was never on drugs, never talked back, he just loved us. We really miss him.
Cheryl, thank you for your encouraging words and for being there when our family has been going through such a
difficult time.
We want another puppy. Soon, I will call you. Please keep us in mind when you have a litter that looks like our Sirie.
Love,
Larry and Family.

Dear Mama Cheryl and Daddy Charlie,
How are both of you doing? I miss you, but things
are great here in Powhatan County. My mama tells
me that all of my cousins have been adopted.
Wow!!! We looked at their pictures on your web
site, but mom tells me that none are as precious as
me. She sure is 'sweet' on me!!!!! But Mom and I
really think they are adorable. Do you miss me? I
am really growing. You may not recgnize me!!! Just
kidding. You could never forget a guy like me!!!
I guess Mom may have told you that I am in boot
camp. What a joke!! All I have to do is listen, sit, go
down, leave it and I get a treat. I like the other pups
in my class, but all they want to do is sniff. So I sniff
back. They smell like they need a bath. Mom tells
me the same thing sometimes. Oh well, I think my
smell is just fine. I have even learned to tap a bell
on the door to go outside. Sometimes, I do it just to
get attention. It's amazing how fast my parents
come running. But that is my secret, don't tell them.
I will send you a picture of me really soon.
Love you,
Ringo Starr Tuffy Finch

Dear Cheryl,
Thought you'd appreciate some more pictures. We have been
dog-sitting our son's dog this past weekend and Toby has
fallen in love with him. Neeko, our son's dog is so gentle and
just loves Toby as the pictures show. Toby has been chewing
on Neeko's ear and his tail and Neeko has been wonderful with
him. Neeko is about two and half years old and is a very active
dog, but has been very very good with Toby. We have had
Neeko in our house many times since my son first had him and
he does very well with other dogs. Toby is doing very well and
is growing as you can see. He loves the attention that two
adults without kids in the house can give---always wants to be
near you. We had a wonderful Christmas with our children and
their spouses and Toby was the hit of all our gatherings.
Happy Holidays,
Bob and (Lee Anne)

Good morning Cheryl,
Yuengling is a total blessing. I have to tell you,
my older dogs are keeping their distance, and
being very cautious. Ember on the other hand,
you would swear her and Yuengling came from
the same litter. They are inseparable! I love
watching them play, plus it makes them sleep so
much better at night.

Hi Cheryl,
What a wonderful week we have had with our babies!!!!
With two puppies we have received double love and fun in
getting them adjusted to their new home. Dawson and
Brody are continuing to do well with their training.
We can tell you one thing and that is they love to eat.
They eat so fast, we can't even make a picture of them
eating. As of now they are good travelers as they find
them a spot on our lap and go to sleep. We have two
beautiful puppies and we thank you for letting us adopt
them. We will continue to update you with pictures.
Love,
Bill , Kathy, Dawson and Brody XOXOXO

Dear Cheryl,
Ok, I went on site tonight and saw the crew of adoptees (my new word)
and saw you have no puppies. Wonder why? I know, because they are
beautiful, loving and gently home raised. Why do I know this? I
have Zoe who is so beautiful but she is so loving. I currently have
three grandchildren under seven with us and Zoe loves them all. The
ultimate was when our grand adorable Amelia, 7 years of age, wanted to
take Zoe to bed with her. First time her Mom and Dad, our daughter
and son in law had a chance to escape for a week. They have a goofy,
lovable Irish Setter who sleeps with Amelia every night. Amelia,
missing her companion, asked if Zoe could sleep with her. We said OK
but when we went to bed, she would come with us as she has always
slept with us since she was a very young puppy. Well, you can imagine
what Vic and I saw when we went to retrieve our other bed snuggler.
As we went in, under the covers and barely visible was Zoe. The
heat radiated up and she was not in any hurry to leave. How do you
tell people what a wonderful, loving, comforting soul, a wet nose and
a warm body can be.
She and Darby are so much fun and they are like sisters with all the
sibling rivalry included but every day at the office we hear the
employees interacting with them and they are like children. In and
out of mischief, into pocketbooks to run with treasures and just
plain fun. They are truly loved by all. If I could have ten I
would. Just an update on Zoe. We were inundated with snow today. I
would like spring to come and I had 25 wild turkeys looking for food
in my backyard today. Life is good!!! I hope you are mending from
your recent loss of your Mom and are treasuring the good times and
the special place she had in the lives she touched every day.
Bunny in New Hampshire with the ever lovable and special Zoe
Hi Cheryl,
I took the puppies to the beach this week. It is only a few minutes walk,
but we took the car. I thought they would be a little frightened at the
ocean, but their main interest seemed to be in playing in the sand.
They are using the bell to go outside and doing very well. I was
teaching Brodie how to use the bell, but Dawson caught on much
faster. They are really good little puppies and we are enjoying them
very much.
I took them to the vet and they passed with flying colors.
Everyone just fell in love with them, But who wouldn't!!!!!!!
Just keeping in touch.
Hope everyone is well !
Love, Bill, Kathy, Brodie and Dawson

Hi Grandma Cheryl,
Greetings from me (Shelby) and my mom and dad
and Tucker, too. As you can see I am quite the cute
little guy. My mom and dad really love me and are
thankful to you and mama Rachel for beginning this
wonderful journey for me. I continue to make them
laugh and love me. My brother Tucker and I are very
happy boys. I hope all of my Dawson brothers and
sisters are doing well. I love to follow my mother
around and "help", especially in the kitchen and the
garden. I "help" daddy in the garage, too.(Mom made
sure there's a treat jar out in the garage, too.)
God Bless Love, Shelby Beard

Dear Cheryl,
Aspen has grown so much in the past week and is learning
so fast. She is so entertaining and a real joy to spend time
with. She gets excited as soon as any of us walk into the
room and has brought many, many smiles to our family.
Thank you so much!!
We hope all is well with you, your family, and your
WONDERFUL girls!
Talk to you soon and we will continue to keep you posted
on Aspens' growth.
Take care---Chris--Christine--Rachel--Hannah Nelson
Hello Cheryl,
We are just enjoying our little girl pup, is it possible to spoil a
dog too much? She is kissed and loved all day and I mean ALL
day long. She is sleeping till 5 in the morning and takes lots of
little naps throughout the day. She had a big day today, she
went to the groomer to have her nails and hair paw trimmed,
She was so good and didn't even cry, The lady just loved her
and was so gentle, we are so pleased with her trim. Then we
visited my Grandmother again since she lived a few blocks
away. She was sporting her new pink sweater and was just
adorable, my Grandmother really enjoyed her visit. I think I will
take her often because I haven't seen my Grandmother that
excited in a long time. She just loves her and put her to sleep
again on her lap tucked in her sweater. Then it was home to
eat and play a little, then she went to school. I wasn't even in
the doors and the office staff were coming out to see her. She
was so friendly and giving kisses. In Hannah's 6th grade class
she was absolutely adored. Hannah's teacher who has 3
cockers was so praising of her and thought that she was just
beautiful. She asked if she could come out to recess. So out
we went with all the kids, I have pictures of her in school.
There were 30 or more kids around her at any given moment
and a few times she was running with all the kids lined up
beside her---it was hilarious!!!!! Aspen was so good and
friendly and received a lot of offers to be taken home.
Needless to say she is socializing and we just love her more
each day. I am trading my weekday work days for weekend
time so I can be home with her as much as possible. I came
home from work last night and she greeted me as if it was years
since she saw me. We think of you often and wonder how the
rest of the gang is doing. Will send pictures soon. Hope all is
well. Love, Christine & family

Hi everyone,
I sure miss you all but I am settling in here with my new mom and

meeting the family and friend's and everyone seems to love me. I
am
sure fast, lightning fast they say. I also have some very sharp
teeth. My mom went out today bought me some new toys to keep
me busy
and said she signed me up for school. I don't know about this. I'll
let ya know how it works our. My first day of school is March 31st.
It will be at the Pet Smart Store. Please tell Amy I really miss
her and that I am sorry I didn't get to say bye to her before I
left. Maybe someday my mom and dad will take a ride and bring
me up
to see everyone. I love and miss you all, I really do. Now here
are
the pictures my mom has been promising but I seem to keep her a
bit
busy.

Cheryl- All is well down here and yes, the weather is getting warm and the babies are really well-behaved and LOVED! Jakey
went for a 2 mile walk this morning- when i'ts still cool- with his brothers and will have a big play time this afternoon chasing his
ball. He is getting very good at catching it in mid- air! George says he has never seen a dog with so much enthusiasm and
every day comments on how Jakey just "loves his life"! He is quite the little man in getting what he wants- whether from his
brothers or from me.
We always check your website and see your babies- your latest litters are gorgeous! I think Jakey is very much like his
mother in that he always wants to be held and sit on my lap- or George's lap. He is just a wonderful little boy!
I'm attaching a few pics that I just took a minute ago. Oh, I gave them all a bath on Sunday and he was very good in the tub.
He likes to drink out of the hose and roll in the grass!
I'll keep checking to see your new puppies. Who is the mother?
Stay well and I hope you are seeing some signs of spring. I'm sure that Mother's Day will also be a tough time for you and our
thoughts will be with you- sad at the loss of your Mom and happy that you will have new puppies!
Much love and thanks to you- Susan
Cheryl- Just thought I'd
tell you that George
wonders "Where did
Jakey come from?" He is
just the cutest, full of
energy, full of personality
puppy we've ever seen!
He is just an amazing
little guy-just loves every
day of life! thanks for a
sweetie! Love & hugs
Susan
PS- Give Hatttie a big
hug and thanks from me
and Jakey
Dear family,
I am home now. I went pee in the yard already but it was to cold to
play. I cried a little cause I miss you all very much. My dad is
holding me now and keeping me very warm. Thank you for taking such
good care of me and I will write again soon. Please never forget me
cause I will never forget you.

Hi Cheryl,
Hope you are doing well. It's hard to believe we've had Rosie for 2 weeks now. She's doing wonderful and has
adjusted very easily to her new home and family. She and Annie are great friends now, but Annie still needs to keep
her in check when she get too rambunctious. She loves Annies tail, it's like her personal living, moving toy! She's
very nosey (Nosey Rosie), she poked her head through the lattice under our deck yesterday and got stuck, luckily I
was standing right there and helped her get it out, she started to panic. She makes us laugh all the time (she's such
a little clutz), and wants to be where ever the action is.
I got her an indoor/outdoor pen, which has come in very handy for when I'm doing things around the house and
can't watch her closely, but don't want to put her in the crate. She is good when she needs to go in there, but
sleeps at night in the bed with Jon, Annie and myself. She sleeps up at our heads curled up between our pillows.
She's very cuddly and loving, and has been great about sleeping through the night with no accidents.
She has walked great on the leash from day one, but sometimes gets between your feet just trying to keep up. She
will sit and stay, come most of the time, but we're working on the backing away once she gets to you when you bend
down to touch her or pick her up (she thinks it's a game and will try and run at the last minute). So I'm learning from
my Ceasar Millan, (Dog Whisperer) book that she should let me touch her collar before she gets rewarded for
coming. We started working on down today and she caught on right away, she even rolled over (not sure weather
that was a fluke or not since I didn't say "roll over" - she see's Annie do that for treats). It may have just been
excited playing on her part. I'm just impressed with how quick they learn at this age.
I've been trying to get her exposed to lots of situations, noises and people, she's already been to several ball
games, and loves going out. She actually watches between playing in the grass and with her toys we take, and has
the ability to find every piece of goose poop in the area! The girls have named her their mascot. They lost most of
their games last year and won their first 2 this year - so they think she's their good luck charm.
So incase you were wondering...things are going great. In fact she's been playing all morning and is under my feet
asleep right now. She plays hard and sleeps hard. We couldn't be happier with the newest member of our family.
I've attatched some pictures that I captioned - hope you enjoy seeing them. I'll update you again later.
Take Care,
Midge Greenfield (Jon, Tyler, Megan, Annie and Rosie also)

Hi Cheryl! Jakey wanted me to write and tell you he wishes you and
Charlie and your family a happy and healthy new year! He checks
to see if you have more puppies like him and when he sees Hattie,
he gets excited! I've attached a few pics of him this Christmas!
What a happy little boy he is! ( and a nut)! He sure does love his
Mommy and Daddy- just like you said about Hattie! Have a happy
new year! Love- Susan=

Good morning Mrs. Dawson,
Here are 2 of my favorite pictures of my little Anjil, the first one is during Thanksgiving my wife took this picture while I was
away hunting for the week. The picture says it all. The other picture was taken right before Allie lost her right eye to
Glaucoma, I keep this picture because it was the last one taken before her surgery and you can really see how beautiful she
is. There really is no denying that she is daddy’s little girl she sleeps with me goes outside every time I do if I would let her.
She doesn’t miss a chance to crawl up my chest when I’m sitting down and lick my face. I’m the only one who she let hold her
any period of time without her trying to wiggle down. She will be 2 years old March 24 and I still remember the day me and Sue
came to your house to see her for the first time. I knew right then that she was meant to be ours. She has really grown to be
integral part of our family. Sue and I have talked about getting a third dog, but for right now we are just waiting. We both know
it will be with you when the time comes. As always we were blessed the day I checked out your website 2 years ago,
something I still do at least 3 to 4 times a week.
I will keep the pictures coming of our little girl as she leaves her footprints on our lives and heart.
Love always,
Sue and George Turner.

We adopted Cord from you about a year ago, and I was a little nervous
to get a puppy, but you and your dogs came highly recommended. To
say he is perfectly suited for us is an understatement. He is a wonderful
dog at just over a year he is sweet, calm and still playful. He loves to
play inside or out and loves to be with us. Thank you so much, we
would recommend you to anyone looking for a cocker and would
definitely come back for another.
Cristin & Chris Ensign

Cheryl,
Wanted to let you know that Danny and Dawson are doing great. They are growing so fast it’s amazing. We started Puppy Pre-
school with them a couple of weeks ago (separate classes so they don't get distracted by each other) and they are both at the
head of their class, which is pretty amazing given they are about a month younger than the other dogs. The teacher is
impressed with their temperament and intelligence and has commented about it multiple times. She even recommended we start
getting them "mentally challenging games" so they can keep learning.
We're so glad we chose to get a pair of brothers, they really love each other and we feel it is so much better for them to have a
close friend to play with every day. They are both so happy. Our neighbor refers to them as the "wiggle butts" because when
they wag their tails, they wag their whole rear end too.
Hope all is going well,
Todd & Linda Rimmer

Oh but how I have missed our conversations terribly!
Those new puppies are so cute...so is Dallas! What a darling boy...and that little princess on hold is a cutie patootie.
Callie Hope has grown from a cute spirited little puppie into a beautiful little girl!
Don't get me wrong, she is still spirited (to say the least) but she is growing up...and too fast!!!
She went last Tuesday 4/6 for her first grooming since yours. She did wonderfully well, trying to nip the clippers only a
time or two. The groomer we use was very pleased with her and thinks she's just lovely. Of course, we already knew
that!!! We are absolutely amazed at how much she looks like Sadie...it is incredible! I've attached some photos for
your pleasure.
She's now had all her puppy shots so we've taken her to the park 3 times in the last 4 days. Were it not for the rain,
she'd be there tonight too. She's a bit of a sled dog, but she has already stopped pulling as much as she did the first
time. I don't think I've seen a dog learn so quickly.
You know, Cheryl, God is so good. How thankful we are that He led us to you! Callie is a happy, healthy, well
adjusted, little girl. And we have you to thank for that. The attention you gave her those first 8 weeks have prepared
her for a lifetime of joy. She absolutely adores little children and at the sound of a child's voice, even on TV, her full
attention is on the child.
She has learned to sit, shake, down and rollover. We're still working on come and stay; we feel that those are the
most important commands for her.
It is our sincerest prayer that you and Charlie will be blessed and continue raising the most wonderful cockers I've ever
seen for many years to come.
Much love,
Donna

Hi Cheryl ~
I hope all is well. Bailey is doing wonderful. We received our last set of shots today and he now weighs 10.7 pounds! He is
a growing little boy. We are still working on crate training and potty training. He is doing much better. I think he was
stressing more about it than me.
Kai is still trying to get use to him. They are not playing with each other yet but Kai will stay near him as long as he does
not attack Kai's fluffy tail. Bailey took a ride across the floor and finally let go the other night. Needless to say, Kai gave
him a talking too but Bailey just looked at him and barked saying one day you will be my friend.
Bailey starts puppy kindergarten next Wednesday and we will soon be visiting those dog parks. Trooper and he play every
night. Joe and Pat have been wonderful about letting him out before I get home. They even had a couple of days off and
Bailey spent it with them. I come home everyday during lunch so he is not left alone all day. And I am keeping with my strict
schedule that I promised I would. No weekends, No late nights and I have not even been working from home. Bailey and I
just play, play, play.
I will send pictures soon. I wanted to send you a quick update and a big THANK YOU! Bailey is a pleasure and has made a
big difference in my life.
Take care and Happy Mother's Day!

Cheryl,
I hope you are able to download this picture. It's Tuckers favorite place
and way to sleep. He is doing absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much
for such a great puppy. Over Easter we took him to NC and he was a
huge hit on the beach. He spent 9 hours in the car and did awesome.
The girls at the vet call him by name when we come in and all of them
have to take turns holding him. Again, thank you so much for letting us
bring him into our home we couldn't have asked for a better puppy and
he couldn't be loved any more.
Love,
Lynn Trimpey and family

Hi Cheryl!
Just wanted to check in and let you know how things are going with Calvin
and Hobbes. The boys are wonderful - I can't even begin to tell you how
much joy they bring to our life. They are definitely momma's boys!
The weather here is wonderful. . .but I can't seem to get the boys back in
the house! They absolutely love being outdoors. Hobbes didn't hesitate to
take the first plunge when we opened our pool this year - he jumped right
in! I plan on teaching the boys how to swim, and get out of the pool on
their own. (not that I would ever leave them unattended, but want to make
sure they can get out if anything were to happen) They finished their
beginner training classes. We did all behavioral training - not treat
training! They listen most of the time. . .Calvin likes to test my
patience!
Todd and I left the boys for the first time last week when we went on
vacation. It was so hard - but I had a good friend stay at the house and
take care of the boys. They did just fine! But they sure did miss us. . .
my girlfriend is also a photographer, and she took some amazing pictures of
the boys. Just wanted to share a few - they are so precious!
Hope all is well with you! Enjoy your summer!
Courtney

Hi Cheryl,
I wanted to give you an update on Ryder. He is 15 lbs. and as cute as a button. He is so well behaved in
the house I am almost afraid to say it. He has stolen both of our hearts. We are having so much fun with
him. He has learned to sit, stay and come. We are working on lying down. He walks well on a leash. I
take him with me to the pet store and out to the park. Everyone comes up to see him. They all say how
cute he is and so friendly. He has made buddies with the dog next door and every day they have a good
play session. Lots of exercise. He has had his last puppy shots and will be neutered in two weeks. He is a
happy fun loving little man and I just adore him. He has the perfect disposition for this old lady. I am
attaching some pic. Hope they come through.
Thanks again for breeding such wonderful puppies.
Jeanne

Dear Grandma Cheryl, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!! I'm 3 years old today and just want
to let you and mamma Rachel know that I am just about the happiest puppy I know! I saw
that mamma Rachel had more puppies this year and they were almost as cute as me. As
you can see from the attached pictures our family has done some surf fishing this year. I
love the beach. There is soooo much to bark at and so many new things to discover. Of
course I am happy whenever I'm with my Mom & Dad and Tucker. Tucker is the best
brother cause sometimes he's so bad that when I'm not so good(Like I won't stop barking)
it doesn't seem so bad that I don't listen. I hope that all of the Dawson puppies are doing
well and especially my litter mates to whom I would like to wish a Happy 3rd Birthday. Life
is good for me and I hope for all of you, too.

Cheryl,
Here are a couple pictures I thought you might like to see of Maggie. I dearly love the 3rd picture (long hair)
with her cute little turned up nose. This picture was right before I had her cut shorter for the summer, she was
so hot with all the humidity. The other 2 of her with her "summer cut". She is such a doll, we just love her to
death and so does everyone else! I had her at our camp a couple of weeks ago and she loves the creek. She
went right in and plopped down in the shallow water and just stretched out as big as you please.
I think she looks like her mother, what do you think? How are your other puppies doing, haven't check in awhile?
Take care.
Beth
Good morning Cheryl. Well little Chelsea is alittle sweetie. She keeps us hopping for
sure. She has been getting settled and is adjusting just fine...80 year old mom is
slooooowly adjusty to the Lil girl. I will keep you updated.
Kathy from Harrisburg

Clara is doing awesome. She is growing like a weed and loves my husband and boys. She is getting the house
breaking routine. Ask her if she has to go potty and she runs to the door. The poop aspect is pretty much
conquered. i have caught her in the act of peeing in the house and she has gotten the message that is not what
she should do. Raising my voice alone gives the needed message. I taught her to shake hands in less than 10
minutes and the down command. Sit is mastered and we are working on stay and come. She is such a happy
puppy and is full of energy. Seems to always pay attention to what is going on...like she is taking mental notes.
hmmm. Enough bragging. I am happy and in love. Cory is doing better with her. If she would quit biting him
things would be cool. That will eventually stop. he has the patience of a saint. Probably too much so.
That's it for now. Talk to you soon.
Kathy
Here's our little girl all curled up with one of her blankets
in mommy's chair. She is so sweet and is "my" baby. I
know you must get tired of me saying that. We just love
her! She was definitely a perfect pick for us and her
brothers. They really love her. They cry if she goes with
me to work and she cries if one of them goes with me to
work. Fortunately, I don't have to take anybody to work
very often.
Take care. Love from,
Roseanne & Bunny

Hi Cheryl: Well, the last week has been so hectic, I just now realized that I've been negligent............I wanted to do
this sooner, but better late than never! I wanted to personally thank you and your husband for welcoming us into
your home in such a warm and comfortable manner. You truly made me feel very assured and confident in the
decision to adopt two of your beautiful pups. The cost aside, it is a very important decision and there is a lot of
long-term responsibility that comes with the immediate gratification of adopting a puppy. Needless to say, ALL
puppies are adorable..........but when you are adopting, the difference between breeder/seller choices is the key
factor. Meeting you, your husband, and your Aunt in your home, among your pets was very reassuring to me and
eliminated any hesitation that always accompanies such a big decision. We felt "at home" with you folks immediately.
I have no doubt that you share my feelings and have the same considerations when deciding whether to place one
of your pups with a prospective family or person. Your initial questionnaire is a reflection of those same
considerations and values. Our brief visit made me recollect why I always wanted to live in Centre Co; The People!
Sure, I love the beauty of the central Pa. countryside, but it was the goodness of the people that made me want to
live there, and you two reminded me of that. Your friendliness and hospitality were very much appreciated.
Now, "the kids" are doing great, our daughter Kim really loves them.........their playfulness has actually made her
smile more in the last week than I've seen in a few months. Meeka is still "meek".......she's still kind of shy and
insecure, but is showing more signs of "breaking out" and being more comfortable. Her brother, previously known
as "hey, you" has finally been named. It was tough........I had about a dozen serious contenders for his name; Butch,
Trouble, Vinnie, Mikey, Riggs (from "lethal weapon" movie fame), etc. But after a day or two, as his personality
emerged (more like "exploded") it became clear.......he had the same personality as our Rocky had when he was a
puppy. I also remembered a friend I had while I was at Penn State......he was also full of energy and became the
Nittany Lion. His name was Rocco. What name sounds like Rocky but will remind me of my dogs' birthplace??
Rocco......Meeka's brother. I love him.....he's a real nutcase......everything you want in a puppy; the energizer bunny of
the canine world. And what an appetite!! He doesn't come up for air when he eats. You gave us a balanced duo: the
shy, retiring wallflower--Meeka, and the "no fear", "life of the party", Rocco. I call them "Happiness"! Thanks again for
your hospitality and two great companions.///////////steve hoffman

Of course the want the same stick!!!
They love being outside and are now climbing steps to
the bed, where the have slept for the last week.
Eating well and growing like crazy.
They are so friendly with people, it is unbelievable
Doing well on the leash - following commands so well
I just love both of them soooooo much!
Cheryl,
Glad to hear that Sadie’s delivery went well. John and
I have been watching your website. Belladonna is a
wonderful addition to our family. She is now attending
Manner’s n More Kindergarten puppy school. Bella is
the most social puppy in the class, enjoys the other
puppies and the people. She is such a happy puppy,
wanting to experience everything. My biggest
difficulty is not spoiling her too much. (she is so cute!)

The past week has been extremely busy with Toby but we are loving every minute of
it! He was a little scared the first two days with us but has adjusted really well with
very little whimpering or crying. (Don't get me wrong, he definitely cried the first night
but has stopped since then) He is getting used to the crate training routine and has
had very few accidents. He is great at communicating when he needs to go and
we've really gotten to know him that way. I've also started transitioning him to
California Natural food and he is all over it and is eating well. We took him to the vet
today and the staff was just smitten with him. Everyone he meets offers to take him
home :) We want to thank you for bringing Toby into our lives. As newlyweds, this
was the perfect way to start our family. Here is a picture of him--look at how big he
has gotten already! We will keep the pictures coming. He usually moves too quickly
for me to capture any still shots!
Hope you and your family are well!
Best,
Tippy and Henry

He is actually getting groomed for the first time this Friday. I will be sure
to tell the groomer to keep it short under and around his ears and his
eyes. We are working on him letting us touch his nails, ears, and under
eyes. He is such a sweet little guy, he sits there patiently whenever I wipe
under his eyes with a cotton ball, and he lets us touch his ears if he is in
a mellow mood. The nails are another story so we are still working on that
:)
I forgot to mention, he was potty trained very quickly! We have a bell that
we hung to the door handle and he knows to touch it with his paw
anytime he needs to go out. It is amazing what fast learners they are! I
really could go on all day about him. We take him to a puppy training
class once a week and he is always the best in his class. He makes us
such proud puppy parents.
Have a good day!

Cheryl,
Here are some recent pictures of my sweet baby. She is a joy to our family
and has so much personality. She is adjusting well to her new sister Ellie
and they really get into some heavy duty play sessions. She loves to be at
the cottage where these pics were taken although she was not too thrilled
with her first swim experience. We will try again next summer. You have a
great recipe for the type of cocker spaniel you breed. I am glad our paths
have crossed. I will send you pictures of Ellie in the near future. Take
care.
Kathy

Hi Cheryl,
I hope this email finds you and your family well! I just wanted to send you a quick update on our little guy, Toby. Over the last
year we've taken him on numerous car rides where he sits patiently on my lap and loves to observe the views, he has attended
two training classes and graduated at the top of his class, he has gotten groomed numerous times and has now conquered his
fear of blow dryers(vacuum cleaners are another story)! Literally everywhere we go, people compliment us on how friendly he is
and how well behaved he is. We really attribute this to how you raise your dogs and how good natured his parents must be! He
has his moments (at times we think he is going through the "terrible twos") but his intelligence and affection make up for those
rare occasions. Not only does he ring a bell to go potty but he also follows a number of commands including sit, stay, down, and
"go to your place". The latter has come in handy whenever we have people knocking on our door. He also understands, "go
night night". In the evening we let him cuddle with us a little bit before we put him in his crate. This is how clever he is: when he
senses we are about to get up to put him in his crate, he will lie down and pretend to be asleep so that we won't wake him and
put him in his crate! It is hilarious. I'm attaching a picture of him after he got groomed last month.
I was so tempted by the last litter that you had, they are all so adorable! I think we will wait another year or so before we make
him a big brother to another pup but I think he will be able to handle it well because he's really great at sharing. He gets along
with other dogs at the dog park wonderfully and every person/dog he encounters, he considers his friend.
I will be sure to keep in touch. I can't thank you enough for letting him be apart of our lives!
Hope all is well with you.
Take care,
Tippy and Henry

Hi Cheryl,
Well it's December 14, Addie has mastered going up and down steps, playing fetch with a
small football and a round ball and is just having a ball. She has brought us many favorite
moments she has many chew toys which she just loves.
She gets a bath usually on Sunday and gets her nails done. Her least favorite thing is being
blow dried. She's getting used to it. I turn it on low and she is getting used to it.
We just love her to pieces. She is the sweetest puppy. She likes her pet taxi and is very used
to it. On Tuesday she went along with me Line Dancing and she laid with her leash on under
the chair I usually sit on and I danced two complete dances before she moved. The other
people couldn't believe how well behaved she is. She is a big hit where ever we go. She is
wonderful.
Christmas is going to be so much fun with a puppy again.
Talk with you later.
Love,
Jean

Dear Cheryl,
We thought we would send you a little note to let you know how well
Bentley is doing. He is such a wonderful puppy. Always happy and being a
wiggle butt. He was just neutered and will be starting puppy classes next
week. He has fit into our family very well and I cannot thank you enough for
letting us bring him into our family.
I hope all is well with your family and your holidays went well.
Take Care,
Beth,Samantha,Jed,and Bentley
Cheryl,
I just can't tell you how much Bob and I enjoy looking at
your site. The puppies are so adorable every one of
them. Our Sadiee Ann is just the love of lives. I still can't
believe she is here with us. One of these days we will
just do it and get her a baby sister.
Lv to you for all the joy you bring to others.
Carol Bob and Sadiee Ann

Hi Cheryl,
Happy New Year! We wanted to let you know how Ellie is doing. WHAT A JOY!!!
She is doing great! Full of energy! We are having alot of fun. She is really
smart. She starts puppy class this week Thursday. She has been really good on
potty training and is doing really well on crate sleeping at night. We do get up
with her some nights and others she sleeps almost all night. She is growing.
She is a good eater and a sloppy water drinker, so we do mouth drying after she
drinks. She loves the outdoors, the snow, rain, it doesn't matter. She runs like
the wind, you should see her go around in the house. She likes playing ball and
she likes going to the park. She likes going in the car, we have her in a crate
with a hot water bottle. We don't go far but she knows she is going and that is
all she cares about. She loves our slippers and shoes, so we are working on
that. Everyone loves her. When she meets one of our friends, you'd think her
tail will fly off her butt. We have introduced her to a couple of doggies and
that has gone good. Will send pictures as soon as we get them on the computer.
Just wanted to keep in touch and we will continue to do so.
Bella & Dale aka Ellie's Mom & Dad
P.S. Forgot to mention that the plane trip was fine, she was very calm. We were
concerned about the flying for her but found out that it was the best decision that
we made. It was alot less stressful for Ellie than to sit in the car for 700 miles to get
her home. We would recommend it to anyone who is considering getting one of
your Cockers who lives far away.

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that I received the most wonderful
Christmas present! I'm sure you already know that though. I
cried a little and was totally surprised. We have decided to
name her Lilly. Another flower but seems to suit her fine. ;)
She is very smart and sweet. She has been sleeping in our
bed, learning the cat, and settled in quite fine even with all of
the commotion. Attached is a picture of her on her new
window sill in Madisonburg, PA and opening a present in
Centre Hall, PA on Christmas morning with the family.
Thanks so much!
